Looking for players to take part in a speed run.

Hello, my username is Akuji, and I am looking for players who might want to attempt a speed run of Factorio. Currently, I have not worked out all the logistics and details for this event as this is in the early planning stages.

I am looking for between 8-12 players, we will be using voice chat and a private server preferably having a meet a greet after players have been selected. After the group has worked out the quirks the plan is a world record speed run.

I would be interested in this as well. Located in Canada, and have about 110 hours logged on factorio. I am free weekends, but i work during the week so we would need to do this on a saturday or sunday.. I am also able to voice chat, it would definitely be the best option for communication.

Edit: A couple thoughts on the logistics of this effort. With 8+ players, it is a serious possibility people get in the way of one another. I would think 4-5 would be a better first attempt number. it could allow for each person to specialize in a particular part of the factory (Power, oil, resource collection etc...) and also be a good number for the group to work together on science and circuits etc..

I think 8 people is OK as long as eveyone is disciplined and has his/her well defined role. It helps especially at the start when hand-crafting and hand-mining is important. If we're not playing peaceful then you also need some people to fight aliens.
