Awesome.
Now to work on adding more useful stuff, or at least my version of it.

side note: Being moderator has a down side sometimes, I keep pressing Edit instead of Quote, then having to hit back on my browser.

Hey Bob! Love your mods! Makes Factorio more expansive and interesting! I made some graphics for your mod on the Electronic circuits. I included a link below and some screenshots.

I like 'em, Cerous, although maybe you could alter them a little bit to account for the 'simple circuit'/'IC circuit'/'CPU' differences?

You could also take a crack at the module chips...which come in three grades and five flavours, so I guess it's a good opportunity to try out the new sprite masking options in this version!

I'm torn between using these and keeping my own.
a few reasons why:
Against:
1. I spent quite some time drawing my versions myself, so I'd rather keep them.
2. Your Logic and Processing boards (green and blue) Are rather difficult to tell the difference between the version with, and the version without components.
For:
1. Yours do match the base game's most recent version of electronics more closely, though with the replacement, that doesn't matter, and without the replacement, Logic board (green, my T3) looks like the base game Electronic Circuit (green, base game T1)
2. The blank boards look way better than just a square (that I used).

If I were to include them in this mod, or my MCI mod, It would likely be as an option that you can turn off or on (Choose between mine or yours).

I can alter the green and blue ones to make them more distinguishable.I also understand the originals you made took time and effort. If you are interested I can remake my blue and green circuits to fit more in line of what you want.

Sure, if you do, I'll include them as a an option in config.lua so you can switch between them.

The other thing though is, Green and Blue are already used by the base game, as is red, it might be a good idea to make them different colours as to better distinguish between base game item, and my mod item.
Instead of Green for logic, how about purple? I know it's not as commonly seen in the real world as green, but Purple is a colour I've seen circuits made before.
and Instead of Blue, how about Black? Black, with bright yellow(or orange, or even blue) connectors is often used on high end computer motherboards, and since it's a Processing board made with a CPU, it fits.

This way, I can then use them as an option in MCI, and you'll have brown and green for T1, White and Red for T2, Purple and Blue for T3, and Black for T4.

Currently, Any electronics added by DyTech is not replaced in my mod, and will remain as it was before.
if it uses Electronic Circuits, Advanced electronics or Processing units in the recipe, those components will be replaced with Basic circuit board, Electronic circuit board, and Electronic Logic board respectively. or whatever the names of the things I replaced them with are anyway.

IF I were to add DyTech's purple electronics to the overide mod later, it would be replaced with the Electronic Processing board.

v0.1.3 released:
* Adds replacement for DyTech Advanced Processing Unit

I also added the following warning to the front page.

Note: This mod is not very friendly for changing mod configs in an existing game.
Removing this mod will likely leave you unable to use Bob's Electronics added in Bob's Metals Chemicals and Intermediates mod.
Removing DyTech Core may also leave you unable to use Bob's MCI's "Electronic Processing Board".

Bobingabout what do you think about adding transistors, resistors, thyristors, diods, capacitors as basic electronic components?
I know it can be felt like electonic madness and can by some silly but why not? Of course although perfectionism is not always useful, but sometimes get bored and want some variety

not sure about Thyristors, they are a bit specialised in the real world, but Diodes and Capacitors would be a good addition, i've already been asked about using them in lasers instead of batteries.
Capacitors were actually on my list of components to "Maybe" add when I was making it in the first place, and I dropped it last minute.

My brother and I are having endless fun with these mods. I noticed that only the Beacon MK2 & 3 uses the "Basic Electronic Circuit Boards." Is this by design, or a mistake? I think it is odd to have something in there that is barely used. Also, are there any charts that show how the materials are made and flow to the final products? Thanks for all the hard work you are doing.

I don't know, I'll look into it at some point.

it is.... sort of by design. if in the old system, Electronic Circuit is T1, and Advanced Circuit is T2, then Basic Electronic Circuit Board is supposed to be T1.5. I haven't used it as much as I thought I would.

We've made a factory setup to make Electronic Circuit Boards. What a mind bender. Every time we thought we were done, we discovered something else was missing. Still, it's quite fun. This can make 45/min using lvl2 assemblers.

Nice one. Electronic circuit boards are a huge step over basic circuit boards.

Lead and Tin for solder, I like this choice over the Tin, Silver and Copper recipe, becaue what else are you going to use that lead on?
Looks like you're making carbon from your coal fuel line. My only real comment on this is... make sure that later, when you're upgrading to fuel blocks, you keep one side for coal, or make another coal line, because you can't make carbon from fuel blocks.
