Adjustable inserter gui not displaying, hotkeys not working

Afternoon all. Slightly baffled. I'm playing with full Bob's plus Angels. I can use the position overrides to specify pick up and drop off locations for inserters, yet the full customisable placement GUI will not display. There are no error messages that I can discern.

I can't see anyone else reporting this issue, so it's clearly a quirk of my installation (or my stupidity, it has been known). I'm looking for advice on how best to troubleshoot the problem. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hi Rue,

I had this issue but I didn't realise you need to place the inserter down first, then hover the mouse directly over the target cross-hair before pressing the hotkey... it's not enough to hover over the inserter, the mouse must be inside the square cross-hair thingy.

Of particular note is that in the 3rd case where you are still holding the inserters, the red crosshair appears but the GUI won't appear until I moved the tip of the cursor inside.

Also, you need to be in build range to use hotkeys and open the GUI.

Many thanks folks, once again I realise my stupidity knows no bounds! Loving the full Bob's 'n' Angel experience btw, even if my head is exploding with the complexity, so thanks for all your efforts, you must be very proud. On the other hand, the vanilla game is now ruined for me. Every silver lining has a cloud etc.
