Blank pages, content visible in edit

When i click Edit the contents show up fine, tried ctrl+f5, restarting browser (Firefox), etc. Same on my phone using chrome

It is not every single page. I am still able to look at couple of pages:

• LUA/Force
• LUA/ItemStack
• Application directory

Guessing there is something being misinterpreted by the markup engine, and it just doesn't output the markup.

Well, for me it looks like some central stuff is not longer working, but there is no systematic, some pages work, others not.

My first guess is, that some template is broken, or some config has changed, or some rights are wrong.

I've mailed slpwnd Thursday evening. Answer:

I asked the hosting company if they changed anything, and they said
they didn't. If it is template related I have no idea as I don't even
know how these work on the wiki. I can try to do some investigation
tomorrow.

I will also have a closer look today.

Oh and there was an server issue earlier in the week. redirected to hosts page instead of Factorio. I didn't take a screenshot or anything, it was only for a few minutes.

You can purge mediawiki pages, however that doesn't seem to help. I compared timestamps in the source code and the cache seems actually purged. I think there may be something wrong with the renderer because of an update or something?

All pages have no content, but when editing a page the wiki text is there [..] This is caused by a change in PCRE 8.34. You need to downgrade PCRE, or update MediaWiki to version 1.22.1 or newer

Well, updating the MediaWiki software is quite important anyway. Or did someone backport security fixes to the 1.19.3 version currently in use?

So maybe this is a good time to upgrade to the current stable release. And maybe check if there's some kind of spam bot / botnet client / … hidden somewhere where MediaWiki has write permissions.

I'm still seeing this happen - every page I check has no content. In fact, as Google's cache expires and is refreshed, it's getting worse, since now the Google cached versions are blank, too.
