Version 1.1 stable build release

Post by Ichbinderkuli »

Like the title eludes to, is there an ETA/Release timeline for a stable build of 1.1? I like the features that are coming, but I don't want to abandon my current game(s) because some key mods I am using will break. Any "official" estimate or even just a "soon" would be appricaited.

Keep up the f'in awesome work!

We never make estimates, because we don't know how many issues are going to be uncovered by the players

A week or two after the release a major version (1.1 in this case) is pretty much bug-free and ready to move to. In other words, just move when you feel like it - the 1.1 development version is more stable than most of the other released games anyway.

I've played most of my factorio hours on experimental builds and only rarely encountered issues. As other posters said: they are quite stable/usable a few weeks in.

This alone made me upgrade to 1.1 in a heartbeat:

Doesn't really matter then. Mod updates are at the authors leisure. So it's them who you need to ask if "just wait" isn't enough for you ;).
