Loading Items/Fluids - Does it Make a Train Heavier?

Post by Steambirds »

Exactly what it says on the tin, does loading items or fluids onto a train make it any slower?

To elaborate a tad on this, (and please correct me if I'm wrong) I never actually tested, but what seem to happen is that loaded or not, a train will make it to maximum speed. The longer the train, the longer it takes to reach that speed, but loaded or not seem to make no difference. In other words, one loco and 4 cars will accelerate at the same rate whether the cars are loaded or not. I'm sure someone must have tested that at one point...
