Will Factorio be getting any sort of optimization for save files? The game is great, but having to upload a 15MB save file every time a friend wants to hop on is kinda annoying, especially with a 70KB/s upload speed.

Save files have already been heavy optimized. Try comparing the RAM usage to the save file size once

Something that helped me, was to manually delete the replay-file from the savegame-zip.
That cut the size in half (it's still 18 mb >.> )
