Help with belt layout

How do I get the belt to curve? I have accidently done it but do not remember how I did it. I a going thru the training modules to learn how to work the game and my layout I would like to make a turn.

Standard key to rotate a belt is R when you are holding a belt in your hand. you can also mouse over a belt and click R to rotate the belt that you have already placed.

curves are made automatically depending on the orientation of the surrounding belts

A belt being fed into the side from another belt and doesn't have any other belt feeding into it will make a turn.
