Are the destroyers from the planet Vulcan a silicon life form?

I'm basing this on stuff like this clip.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=469chceiiUQ

Silicon life is thought to be unlikely for several reasons
1. Water is not a suitable solvent for silicon life. Sulfuric acid would be more suitable for such life. Like the Aliens from the famous movie, who are also a silicon life form. A volcano is a waterless planet rich in acid.

2. Many reactions with silicon form solids. For example oxidation of carbon forms carbon dioxide, a product that a living organism simply gets rid of. Whereas oxidation of silicon forms sand. Perhaps that's why life on the volcano took the form of worms in constant motion.

3. Silicon life forms would probably require a high temperature and pressure environment for stability. Wait a minute - these are literally the distinguishing characteristics of Vulcan!

I like how this theory complements what we know about Vulcan. I like to think that we are meeting a representative of such an alien form of life to us. In some way, much more alien than the spiders from Gleba, although it still looks like a larger version of something familiar.
