combinators hard to see?

Post by Xunie »

Let your voice be known!
As much as I like the new functionality the arithmatic and decider combinators bring to Factorio...
Determining which one is which is a PITA, especially when dealing with a large number of logic components.

Is there a high-contrast/debug-vision mode in (vanilla) Factorio for designing stuff?
(There's probably a mod for this, though. But I'd still like to see a visually better combinator. Because it just ain't clear what is the input and what is the output.)

it ain't really that bad,

and if you're not sure wich way to put the combinator, just take a look at the constanter, and you can see what the exit look like !

I remembered it by the mnemonic of 'RGB'. Red goes at the top, Green on the bottom.

Mad props if mods can use this to draw arrows on their mods for reasons.

Anyhow, why doesn't factorio vanilla have a high-contrast mode (yet)?
Maybe for the visually impaired or for those designing large machines who would prefer to see what was going on rather than squint at the sqrites... :3
