I don't get the love for Aquilo
If you are bothered by people who want verisimilitude in games, please turn away. It drives me nuts that you have to 'heat' turbines and forges and things that PRODUCE HEAT. The inconsistencies are irritating. More than that, I just find Aquilo super tedious. You can't use bots for any logistics, and the only reason for this is to force you to deal with the pipe vs. heating element vs. lack of space dynamic... the whole thing feels so forced. It isn't "hard" - I understand the puzzles and challenges... but at this point, it's like doing busy work for fun... I just don't wanna. I loved Vulcanus. Fulgora was interesting (I'm really not a fan of hugely limited build space in general as a mechanic - I don't find it interesting - but using lightning for power and scrap as your sole resource was interesting) Gleba was a little weird (metal bacteria? Really?) I think the spoilage mechanic is poorly implemented - the mechanics just seemed super glitchy and inconsistent for me - but it was an interesting idea, and coming up with a bio base was new, and kinda cool. My problem is that Aquilo seems specifically designed to make everything a tedious slog. You have to lay down ice platform, then concrete, then heat pipes, then almost everything you make is fluid based - so you have to fit in and heat pipes everywhere... I can travel between planets, but I can't make polymer or ceramic pipes that can handle extreme temperatures? Seriously? I started working on an Aquilo base, then looked at all the tedium that would be required to pipe in flourine and salty lithium or whatever, and just went 'Ugh.' Yeah, I get Aquilo is different, and a lot of people like that it is a new challenge, but are people really not annoyed about how silly and inconsistent the heat mechanics are, and how much of the 'challenge' is really just busy work? Having everything be real-time on all planets simultaneously means you really can't have active enemies like biters and spitters on every planet - but I find that without the pressure of balancing the logistics and expansion vs. defense and eradication - the other worlds just don't really hold my interest. (Also, why is the entire solar system one giant asteroid field??? Seriously, do you have any idea just how empty the vast majority of space is?) Anywho - if you are having fun with it, I'm happy for you. In general, I'm glad I bought the expansion - some cool ideas, and a lot of fun base building. Maybe I'll take a break and come back to deal with Aquilo when I'm feeling a little more patient...

You can use bots. I use bots. You can't go crazy with them like on other planets, but a normal bot mall is no problem at all.

Also higher quality bots apparently can do wonders (haven't tried it myself yet)
