Where did the "player" come form?

Post by Kumassy »

I just finished the Space Age, and it was incredibly exciting and fun! However, I started thinking about something that hasn't quite made sense to me. Where exactly did the "player" come from?

Throughout the game,
ou crash-land on Nauvis, build some rockets, and explore the entire solar system, but there’s no sign of any other humans activities. So how did the player even come to Nauvis in the first place? What’s the backstory there?
Anyone have any thoughts or explanations about this?

Someone mentioned the funny theory that the engineer is actually some crazy super soldier sent away to crash land in the middle of nowhere to save humanity. We're talking about someone who can carry insane loads without being hindered, fires a submachine gun with crazy precision and somehow manages to survive even without any food.

So humanity beweare once the enginner returns - but now equipped with his own personal military-industrial complex and armed with lots of nukes!

(and weaponized bugs/crabs)

Planet Cracker
tech is not something you see in your everyday science fiction.
If some civilization is capable of
popping a planet
- it's probably also capable of making a Last Stand Hero which can carry Rocket Silo in his pants, feel OK on Aquilo's sunny beach resorts, drink questionable homemade beverages remotely to invent new things and never poop.
