To preface - I've yet to buy Space Age, I've not got the time to sink into it, I know it'll consume me for months XD. But I plan to buy it next year.
But in the meantime, something I thought may be present originally and think would be a good idea, is an enhanced base game. Not simply the QoL improvements that 2.0 bought, I mean, some DLC elements being accessible when playing the base game that only takes place on Nauvis. I understand ofc it would likely still require the DLC to play, but I'd be interested in playing the base Nauvis game with some of the DLC additions - recycling machines, fission power, mech armor, quality modules, elevated rails, etc. I don't think it would be all that difficult to integrate them into the vanilla tech tree, and it could offer a medium between players who are intrigued by the DLC's additions but maybe don't want the full scope that Space Age demands with its multiple planets.
Anyone agree this could be neat to see?

Some of this has been done already: quality and elevated rails can both be enabled separately from Space Age

Yep, and the recycler comes as part of the quality mod too. No fusion or mech armor though.
