Am I the only one who doesn't like all the noises items make when you handle them in your inventory?
I guess the concept was good, but I wish they had stopped at like different sounds for wood/metal/stone objects. Because honestly I feel they got a bit silly with it, power poles crackle, inserters whir, train signals chime... none of that should be happening in my inventory. But I'm not trying to nitpick realism, it's more that I feel the excessive variety of sounds makes for worse audio feedback on what you're doing. When I say shift-click an item into a chest, I like hearing a sound that confirms it worked, and it communicates that more clearly if it's more or less the same sound every time.
Noisy Items in 2.0
Re: Noisy Items in 2.0
I agree. They really annoy me also, to the point that I sometimes turns GUI sounds off. I don't like to do that because I need some of the feedback sounds under that category.
I was hoping to beat SA unmodded, but if the various item noises annoy me enough I might create a mod to revert the sounds back to the default (if someone else hasn't already).
