Difficulty field in save description

I noticed just recently when looking at my save files that in the little description in the top left (along with map version , scenario and playtime) there is a difficulty field. I have only ever seen it filled with a hyphen though. I then made a bunch of test worlds changing various map settings but couldn't find any setting that changed the field.

Is this an old detail left over from a previous version of the game? Or does it actually mean something and i just have not figured it out? Any insight would be appreciated.

It is for scenarios where you can choose difficulty, such as Tight spot.
