If we're talking about stealing "alien" women vs. stealing "native" women, the line still has a lot of explaining to do. What native women are like. Later, she says "This wilderness is my home. ... You can make yourself useful by bringing your Federation medicine to the natives. Oh, you'll find them a friendly, simple folk." (And that's nothing compared to the stomach acid she has for Romulans! I find myself wishing she'd met the Borg.)

Most people call them 'Biters' but i feel like that's not really correct since some of them are spitters.

[Koub] Did a massive merge of all the topics with the same (or very similar) biters are not biters/aliens, and brainstorming to find a good alternative. The poll is still there, but that explains why less votes than posts.

They are camping on our oil and ore fields - so they must be the natives and we should bring them our democracy and freedom using our shiny artillery trains and rocket launchers.

Biters and spitters sound like temporary names which researchers often give for new animals (and other natural phenomena) to refer them in their work. They make scientific species determination later and suggest scientific name according to official rules, which I think is accepted by some international research organization.
In my opinion it fits very well in Factorio's story that Nauvis is recently found planet and the player is a member of pioneer astronaut group who intended to make first observations and collect samples to planet geologists and exobiologists who make actual determination and official naming of living creatures. Then they had some severe "mission anomaly" and player is only surviver, who gives just some descriptive names for dangerous species. Probably there are huge number of species who are not significant from gaming perspective and do not need name, attention or even to be modeled in the game.
