So I started a LP series, but for some reason it puts a black border around the video when I record? Obviously there is no border when I play the game, but for some reason it records it with one. I tried Fraps, and OBS and both do it. Maybe it is because it is full screen or something?
Any suggestions on how to fix this would be great!

That should be something fraps and obs are doing by default or something you chanced at some point.

I would think it's your encoding settings than fraps. What are you using?

Re: Black border around video when recording?
I suggest useing Open broadcaster software.
It does not like fraps make 10 min files that you need to link together afterwards.
It does not create the black borders and got quite the settings you can play with.
i have been using it for 3 weeks now for my let's play

You CAN just turn that option off, y'know. :p (or not turn it on in the first place, it's off by default)EurypteriD wrote:It does not like fraps make 10 min files that you need to link together afterwards.
Re: Black border around video when recording?
Fraps shouldn't add black borders - have you tried playing the files Fraps creates directly, in full screen? Before any editing or rendering?
