Hi community,
at first, english isnt my native language, if something isnt understandable, ask for it.
i don't like no challenging games, thats the reason why i started to mod factorio. The first few trys was just a mess and not playable or to easy. After a lot of time i've got a mod set running and it was well balanced. So i post it here and want to ask how you modded your game. In my opinion just to throw all "enemies mods" in one set isnt a really good idea, the most doenst work together and only a decent pair of them would be better.

The idea:
Bobs+Natural evolution buffs the aliens and work together. SupremeWarfare gives the possibility to fight the stronger aliens. RSO let the ressources spawn farther away and with railtanker + theFatController its easier to get the ressources to your base.

I currently have 13 different mod sets I swap for various saves. Your question is best answered with another question: what do you call a challenge?
Biter mods can make the combat a bit more interesting but it's still little more than an annoyance. Bobs is a good way to increase the overall complexity but some parts are completely OP (god mods) and some people dislike the additional research types. Some like more research and would enjoy the science cost tweaker and Bobs. Some want the game to last longer and go with marathon type mods. Others might find restricted space to be a challenge and go with toxic jungle or unstable ground.
Define what you mean by challenge and you might get more answers.

At the one hand, i dont speak about specific challenge and you can post here every mod set.
On the other hand you are right and i will answer it, just for more informations.
For me the problem is if i dont have a reason to increase my factory and research new technic i dont have the motivation to do it. Im looking for threat, that give me a reason to increase my production / defense / weapons .... In this case i m looking for harder enemys/better enemy ai/ more punishment for pollution.... but if a mod define a new threat, its also nice.
I tried bobs ore / machines and i didnt like it in a game where i would like to focus on survival, i think its a really nice mod for people who just want a challenge in a big factorio.
