Headless server 1.0.0 Syntax error

Post by Excard »

Hello.

I am trying to get the headless server up and running on a Raspberry OS, running on a Raspberry Pi 3, but when i try to create a save file or start the server i get the following error:

./factorio: 1: ./factorio: Syntax error: ")" unexpected

I am pretty new to Linux in general so i am not sure how to get more detailed logs and i appreciate any help in this matter.

Are trying to run the game in an emulator? The game will not run on the Raspberry Pi's CPU architecture natively.

No, i just followed the instruction on how to setup the headless server so no emulator.

Is it the specific architecture of the Raspberry Pi or just the OS?
Would it make a difference if a use a different Unix dist?

I actually found a guide now who explained it in greater detail and how to run Factorio on an ARM CPU so thanks for pointing me in the right direction :-)
