Hopefully somebody has a solution to this problem.
Myself and a friend were playing some multiplayer and both our clients crashed when a research completed.
When I loaded the game back up, the game seemed to have forgotten that I wasn't a fresh spawn.
When I load the autosave in single player, it loaded my inventory correctly.
I saved the game, and loaded it in multiplayer again, but when my friend joins she is still treated like a fresh spawn.
Is this a known thing and is there a solution? We don't want her to lose her inventory.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Re: Multiplayer Loading Bug?
Saving the game in single player screws with all of the multiplayer stuff.
There's no way to fix it I'm afraid.

Re: Multiplayer Loading Bug?
The only reason I saved it single player was because it wouldn't load MY inventory.
Multiplayer game crashed
Loaded autosave, nobody had an inventory.
Loaded the same game in single player, I had my inventory back.
Saved game in single player.
Loaded saved game in multiplayer, I had my inventory, other player did not.
So the multiplayer inventory was not lost due to being loaded in single player, they were already gone. Loading in single actually restored one inventory.

Re: Multiplayer Loading Bug?
Yes, I know all of that.
As a multiplayer map it may have been salvageable. All I'm saying is saving it as a single player map screws it up, so you can't get the inventory back the way it was.
You could however use console commands to give her the items she had/wants back, if it's too much trouble getting the items the same way she got them before.

Re: Multiplayer Loading Bug?
I still have the relevant auto saves, it's not as if they disappeared because I manually saved in single player.

Re: Multiplayer Loading Bug?
Well there you go. There may be some console commands you could try, unfortunately I don't have time to search for them for you.
Re: Multiplayer Loading Bug?
Did you change your username between the load? Players are now connected to characters based on the names.
