*Couldn't establish network communication with server when trying to log into any multiplayer game...
*Failed to determine External IP Address, when trying to host a game :S
Port 34197 is wide open, firewall is not blocking, hamachi does nothing, changing ports in config files does nothing.
This has to be the dumbest multiplayer implementation ever concieved, just plain stupid that one can't just play without this BS
Any ideas?
Lazy ass devs dont seem to care about this issue.... SAD
Multiplayer doesn't work :S
Re: Multiplayer doesn't work :S
Amazing way to ask for help, can not imagine why people don't go out of their way to assist you...

For *Failed to determine External IP Address" see viewtopic.php?f=49&t=53992
It might be your router, but it could also be your isp's router. Other than that I can only suggest using netcat or something similar to try to diagnose whether you can successfully send and receive udp packets in general and on port 34197 in particular. If you can't then talk to your isp,

There are 10 types of people: those who get this joke and those who don't.
Re: Multiplayer doesn't work :S
Many people having this issue and no fix = devs do not care. Simple. No game is worth having to set things up in router to make it work.
But I found a great fix, it's called a refund...

Re: Multiplayer doesn't work :S
Most of these issues are things beyond the devs' control. And only a tiny minority of people actually have issues. Additionally, the devs can't really look into it if you don't provide the information they need.gallo wrote:Many people having this issue and no fix = devs do not care. Simple. Re: Multiplayer doesn't work :S
Really?
How many games require you to mess with your router?
It's in their control to use systems that actually work when building a game, they seem to understand the issue pretty well, some posts on this very issue are at least a year old, but they seem to think their game is just fine as is by pointing ppl to a post saying it's your ISP's fault instead of implementing a fix. Again NO game does this! And i've played some pretty shitty games.

Re: Multiplayer doesn't work :S
You still haven't provided the things you need to make a bug report.
