[0.16.27] screen turns off for a few sec. sometimes

I noticed this when playing, but it became very apparent when loading the game (this has happened for a few versions now).
when loading it turns off a bit, then on and sort of "blinks" until the menu shows up, each on and off phase is a few seconds.
my screen (monitor) turns off, not just black, completely off.
Just for a few seconds but i have no idea why. it has never done this before (nor for any other program).
This only happens when i play in fullscreen, not in windowed mode. And only my main monitor on which i play, my secondary behaves as expected.
My main monitor is a 2560x1440 @144hz monitor using displayport by acer.
when i load the game on my secondary (1920x1080 @59hz via hdmi) it works as expected.
hm, now that i've tried my secondary monitor, after that it doesnt happen on my main. very weird
This issue is particularly annoying when playing as I'm completely blind for a bit.

Really sounds like a hardware/cable problem to me, especially since it does not happen reliably.

2560x1440 @144hz requires a really high bandwidth so it's easy to mess up the signal. I suspect the video card "spinning up" as the game starts creates some interference that makes the monitor receive bad signal for a short while.
