I have an issue that i've had for some time but is starting to degrade my game play experience
when moving around I am experiencing a diagonal line of distortion from top left to bottom right. Almost like the texture are slight out of line from one half to the other.
It does not happen all the time, but most of the time. i cannot screen shot this because the screenshot is still and so does not show it.
v-sync does not effect it.
anyone know what might be the cause?

You might need to google around - I think this has been identified as some quirk with Nvidia drivers that seems to come and go.
It was happening mostly on laptops.

Thank for the pointer, i found a bunch of stuff that is related to laptops using nvidia with hybrid cards with a problem in nvidia optimus technology, Nvidia point the finger at Microsoft but that was a year ago already so i doubt it will change..
I have seen posts that say this only happens when rendering in DX9, opengl and Vulkan Api's.. can anyone confirm if factorio can be rendered in Dx11? or am i off target here?

Factorio can render in opengl. See solution 2 from viewtopic.php?t=9300.

Diagonal lines are not vsync issues, they can suggest a hardware or driver issue. Please post a screenshot, if it is not present on screenshots a camera photo.
