Hello,
Since I updated to 0.16 the game completely eats my RAM away during startup, up to 99%. PC freezes for a good 20-30s, and I can't blame him, the poor bastard. After that it slowly comes to life again, and eventually the game finishes loading. It seems to happen at the "Loading Graphics" stage. No problems afterwards.
I don't think this is normal behaviour, I've got 8GB which isn't all that much nowadays, but should be alright for this kind of game. Graphics resolution is set to "high" tho.
I guess such issues are expected since it's an experimental release, but I thought I'd let you know.
Also, here are some screenshots so you can see what's going on. Log is attached.

Thank you, the issue appears to be fixed. That was quick.Bilka wrote:Update to 0.16.1 and see if it still happens please

Might be caused by "parallel loading of high resolution sprites": 54548

Presumably. The loading is also faster overall now (before and after the graphics stage).Loewchen wrote:Might be caused by "parallel loading of high resolution sprites": 54548
