How do i remove mods from ingame mod launcher?

I used the ingame mod downloader to get some mods. But upon trying to launch the game, it gives me "Error in assignID, fluid with name 'gas-natural-1' does not exist." And the game doesnt launch, preventing me from accessing the ingame mod manager. I use steam, and checked my mods folder, and the mods were not there.

Go to the mods folder and delete the mod by hand, depending on the version you are using, the folder is in different places:
-In the factorio folder if you are using the non-steam version
-In the appdata subfolders if you are using the steam version

I use steam, and checked my mods folder, and the mods were not there. I've tried deleting local files and re-installing. I've tried verify game cache. Nothing works.

Your mods folder should be located in %APPDATA%\Factorio\mods
Can you verify this folder is empty?

Hey I am having this same issue as well. I updated FARL to 0.7.1 with the in game manager to where upon restart it prevents the game from launching. I have tried downloading the newest rendition of Farl and it does nothing. I have checked all places for where ever would be logical to store it at and can't find it. Oh and under APPDATA/Factorio i don't even have a mods folder, and I typically run with 15 or so mods. Any help is appreciated.

@Mechhound00: what kind of version of Factorio do you run - Steam, GOG, website installer, website ZIP?
And which of the operating systems do you use? (Windows, Linux or Mac OSX)

Hit Win + R on your keyboard, type "%APPDATA%\Factorio" and press enter. It should open File explorer window and you should see foldes config, saves, mods and file factorio-current.log. If you don't see mods folder, please post factorio-current.log here.
