Game freezes when in background

Game freezes when in background

Any time i open another application or minimize the game it freezes. I don't think this is a bug since no one else is reporting it. Is this a known issue? Do I need to clear a cache or something?

Given that this is an interaction with the rest of your system, what are you running this on?

Specifically software (operating system and version), but if it's anything weird, the hardware specs would be useful as well.
