Hi there,
I recently started playing Factorio on my desktop PC which has been working fine. However, I'm travelling this weekend so I took my laptop with me and downloaded and installed Factorio on it too. However, when I try to start the game, all I get is a white screen and the windows error sound. I've looked around and one possible answer was http://steamcommunity.com/app/427520/di ... 146974510/, where the editing of a config file seems to have helped. However, that config file doesn't exist on my laptop... All I have in the AppData/Roaming/Factorio Folder is a folder with my savegames and two log files (which I've attached and which seem to be created every time I try to start the game).
My laptop is running Windows 10 with an Intel Core i3-380M, 8GB DDR3 RAM, and an NVidia GeForce 610M (so not amazing specs but imo the game should run on it)
If someone has an idea as to what the problem could be, thanks in advance Also if you need any more information, please let me know.
Regards,

Re: [0.12.33] White screen on startup - game won't start
The game is not using the dedicated graphics solution:
But that does not explain the crash yet...
Code: Select all
0.113 Available display adapters: 1
0.113 [0]: \\.\DISPLAY1 - Intel(R) HD Graphics {0x05, [0,0], 1600x900, 32bit, 60Hz}
0.113 Create display on adapter 0. Size 1280x720 at position [150, 72].

It might not explain the crash, but it at least lead me to updating my graphics drivers and that worked ^^ So thanks for unknowingly giving me the hintLoewchen wrote:The game is not using the dedicated graphics solution:
