Hi all, I've searched high and low but I can't find a solution to this issue. The problem that I am having is very noticeable horizontal screen tearing when using a dual monitor setup. The game runs perfectly with 1 monitor but if I use a second (real or virtual) monitor then the tearing starts. I have vsync turned on in the game options (I also tried manually forcing it on through radeon settings). The last piece of the puzzle is that the game only tears in fullscreen--there is no tearing in windowed mode with multiple monitors. Normally I would just unplug the second monitor but I am using a virtual monitor to enable quicksync recording through OBS (this part isn't really applicable to the problem except that I do have a reason to be running dual monitors).
System: windows 7, r9 290, i5 3570k, 8gb ram
Thanks!

Do both monitors support v-sync?

Re: screen tearing with multiple monitors
The second isn't a real monitor...just a virtual monitor to trick windows into enabling integrated graphics for use by OBS.Fang wrote:Do both monitors support v-sync?
I did just try to plug in a real monitor though (which can use vsync) and had the same issue.

I'm not sure. Sorry, hopefully someone else can help you.hypnobunny wrote:The second isn't a real monitor...just a virtual monitor to trick windows into enabling integrated graphics for use by OBS.Fang wrote:Do both monitors support v-sync?

Is your virtual monitor refreshing at the same speed as the main one ?

For some odd reason, I've noticed that it is very common for my screen to refresh at 59Hz... why 59? I don't know, but the TV when I connect it refreshes at 60Hz. I'm sure if I tried to multiscreen across the two I'd get tearing too.
