[0.12.26] (Solved) Win 8; Crash on Startup

When launching from Steam, game loads to menu and crashes roughly 3-5 seconds from that point. Typically before I can load a save. Attached is the log file. I tried it with the open gl thing, but that made no difference. The open gl flag was off for this log file.

If I can manage to load the save, it will usually crash on the Tips popup. If I load the save, exit to menu; it will not crash. If I load save, quit to menu, and load save again it works fine.

Can you try setting the launch options for the game on steam to "--force-d3d" ?
To do so, right click on the game in your library, then select properties, then set launch options.
