[solved] Crashes a few minutes into gameplay- Log included

Post by mewwy2 »

Hullo!
So after a seemingly random amount of time while playing (always under an hour, though) I receive an error message. It's a simple one, asking if I'd like to copy the pathway of an error log (attached to this post, along with a previous).

In most instances, the game crashes to desktop after clicking one of the options. However...
In some instances, the game continues on after the message pops up. Instead of clicking one of the options, I continue playing for a while until ANOTHER error message appears, after which the game 100% crashes.

It's worth noting that I've tried a complete reinstall, and validating game files. It's also worth noting that I had a website version of the game installed before the Steam version, which didn't have this problem. I believed that I had completely removed the website version before downloading the Steam version, but I may not have known all of the Factorio file locations.

Thanks!

Can you try trurning off the Steam overlay for Factorio ?
Also if you have MSI afterburner, upgrading it to the most recent version (or closing it) may help.

Did both and it appears to work, thanks so much!
