Gun Turret speed tech research is gone?!?! (prob'ly mod-caus

There used to be a ladder of 6 techs to research to give a bonus to Gun Turret shooting speed, cumulative with generic bullet shooting speed.

But after not having played for maybe 6 or 8 weeks, and just started again, it's not present. Not even the 1st tech. It's probably one of the many small or medium mods that I use that's messed it up, but how do I go about most easily finding out which one it is, so I can notify the creator of the mod?

It's possible I'm mis-remembering. I have been away from active play for a couple of months. I know there's a research to boost Gun Turret damage that synergizes with normal bullet damage, but I thought there was a speed one too.

as far as I know, only laser turrets have speed upgrade

Actually, I think that you misremembered the gun turret speed upgrade by confusing it with the bullet shooting speed upgrade.
