I used to play this game and then my hdd got corrupted so I installed a new one about a month back. I decided with all the updates I'll try it again and for some reason even with service pack one installed and I'm using win 7 professional it for some reason doesn't see sp1 installed and is telling me it requires it to run.

You can try running it in compatibility mode windows vista sp2.

Another person had this same issue and it turned out that SP1 wasn't actually installed.
