I want to have 2 installs of Factorio on my computer (one on drive C and one on drive E) the one on drive C will be updated to 2.0 but the one on E will be kept at 1.1.
I’ve gone to the website and downloaded version 1.1.107 on drive E, I expected to have a clean install but the E version has all my mods and saves in its mods and saves folder. Is it possible to unlink the two installs from each other so they are totally independent of each other?

Re: Help wanted
Use the zip download from the website, not the exe.
I'm an admin over at https://wiki.factorio.com. Feel free to contact me if there's anything wrong (or right) with it.

Re: Help wanted
The zip version is a standalone version of the game. You just unzip it where you want it and go. No installing.
My Mods: Classic Factorio Basic Oil Processing | Sulfur Production from Oils | Wood to Oil Processing | Infinite Resources - Normal Yield | Tree Saplings (Redux) | Alien Biomes Tweaked | Restrictions on Artificial Tiles | New Gear Girl & HR Graphics

In case you're interested in how Factorio finds its saves and mods:
- there is a config-path.cfg in ..\..\factorio.exe (2 directories up from factorio.exe) that defines the general config location for that exe
- see the comment in that file and observe the differences between the Steam- or exe-installer-delivered config-path.cfg and the one from the zip file
You can also set the configuration path location as command line option --config <path>. Add it to the shortcut you use for starting Factorio and you can point it to any directory you want.
