[1.1.104] Strange paving behavior

Post by poiuqwer78 »

Dear Team

Happening already for many versions - there must be a good explanation. Didn't find a corresponding bug report.

This is happening in Vanilla (no mods).

In certain situations, when palcing an entity, and then afterwards click-and drag pavement on the floor, a direct line from the last placed entity to the start of the click-and-drag location is paved for unknown reasons.

This shows the issue in action in the attached video:
Factorio 1.1.104 2024-02-11 13-14-48.mp4
(29.09 MiB) Downloaded 27 times

The issue is reproducible in vanilla with the attached savefile:
test.zip
(3.29 MiB) Downloaded 11 times

Factorio Log:
factorio-current.log
(6.95 KiB) Downloaded 14 times

Best regards

Do you have any input devices other than mouse and keyboard plugged in?

The way the mouse jumps around at the beginning it looks like a touchscreen of some sort is involved.

No, just a regular mouse and Keyboard. I've got this reproducible on two different machines.

The recording seemed to eat a couple of frames i guess.
