[Linux] Factorio sometimes freezes when restarting to apply mod changes

Post by DarkShadow44 »

I often play around with mods, so the game often restarts itself to apply the changes.
Sometimes it just freezes and I need to kill it with the task manager.
However, the memory from the last instance is somehow leaked (Linux bug?) and can only be recovered by rebooting the system.

This seems to happen only on the Steam version, and only when the steam overlay is activate. Then the freeze seems to happen the 11th time you restart. Closing the game completely (aka restarting it manually) works around the issue.

Someone knows this issue or has ideas how to investigate? "dmesg" has no output related to those issues.
Maybe find out where the hang comes from?

Factorio (Steam) 1.1.74 on Arch Linux (Linux 6.1.3).

Attaching logs.
In this case I enabled pymods, got some mod error. I selected "Disable all mods" and Factorio just froze, although I think that's the new instance already.
