So guys,
the music while game is alt tabbed is back... i know there was some hidden option in some config file... ive read in patch notes something about music changed, does that still work?

Edit: the old work around doesnt seem to work anymore, my biggest fears came back... will there be a "we wont support if someting goes wrong" workaround to disable audio while tabbing out?

For now you can set the audio-backend to 'allegro', which is the old one. It's an option in the hidden settings.

Unlikely it gets added to the new backend. The old workaround was just setting a DirectSound flag that was part of the API and hoping it figured out when to mute. Per dev posts, new audio backend doesn't use DirectSound on Windows, it uses WASAPI.

Are you on Linux/OSX? DirectSound is only on Windows, you can't use it on anything else.
