Since 2.0 I have had an issue where my speakers go to sleep after a few minutes when I'm playing factorio.
If I then start a youtube video, my speakers wake up and I can hear Factorio again.
Somehow the sound output from Factorio is not enough to keep my speakers awake.
Has anyone tried this, or have a solution for a fix?
I'm not even sure it's a factorio problem, but so far no other games have done this.
The speakers in question are Creative Inspire T3300.

Re: Speakers go to sleep when playing Factorio...
Hello,
this seems very unusual and out of our control.
"not enough sound output" doesn't make much sense to me, data-wise the output should be constant.
It looks to me as a driver issue, you can try changing the preferred audio driver in Sound Settings (requires restarting the game).

You can try turning the Windows sound volume and ingame volume to 100% then lower the volume on the speaker. Creative speakers need a lot of sound input to wake up from sleep

Wockes advice totally worked! Thanks a lot
@Donion, I did suspect the problem to be outside of factorio, but I also figured that this forum would be chock full of a wide variety of tech-saviness.
Thank you both for replying!
