[2.0.10/Space] - confusing ingame login [--> Bug Report]

Post by lxl »

In-game login is using the humblebundle upgrade email and upgrade code as password.
Username and password of https://factorio.com/profile is not accepted. --> this should be the correct as create account/ "forgotten password" linking there.
[I used the upgrade code in factorio.com.com/profile for downloading the game].

Hi Genhis, sorry i wasn't clear in my first post. I'm believing that this is a (ux)bug.

I'm using the space age - non steam ".zip" version of the game.
For Replication get a new install from the zip and do the ingame login. Transform your mind into the average use and do what the game tells you.

1) The key problem: unexpected behaviour for an average user. In the login screen "Password" is written but "Upgrade Code" is needed.
2) On the same gui there is a reset/send password screen. If you use that you can get the password used for logging into factorio.com (Where you can download the game) and not the upgrade key.

Behaviour of 2) looks like somone has the same expecation for 1)

(I found a workarround by guessing it could be the upgrade code)
