1.1.110 invalid bool loaded from input file. File could be corrupted.

Post by bocktoberfest »

I receive a "Invalid bool loaded from input file. File could be corrupted." error message when I attempt to load the attached K2SE save. It also seems to have corrupted my quicksaves :-(

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

Thanks for the report however your save files are broken and there's nothing we can do to recover them. This has always been shown to be hardware failures on players PCs, typically bad or failing RAM. I recommend running a memory test and or figuring out the underlying issue since if it happened once, it will keep happening until the issue is fixed. https://www.memtest.org/

@Rseding91 I ran the memtest many times and passed, which implies that my RAM is not the issue. Could it possibly be a different hardware component?

Thanks in advance.

It's possible, but diagnosing hardware failures is tedious - especially intermittent failures. It is also possible in completely functional hardware to have bit flips and have things get corrupt. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single-event_upset
