[1.1.110] Friend got disconnected and can not join again.

Hey there,

my buddy and I just bought the game today on steam. I simply started to host a new game, it isn't public and we used a steam invite so he could join. It worked fine at first, but after around 5h of playing he got disconnected from the server and he couldn't connect anymore afterwards. Since then hes is getting the "couldn't establish network communication with server". But only when he tries to connect to my server. He then tried hosting a game himself but I couldn't join him aswell with the same error displaying. Public servers from the List are working fine for both of us. Any ideas how to fix this issue?

Edit: We were able to play again through steam invites without having changed anything. So the issue kinda resolved itself over night. I don't know what caused it tho. Maybe it was a Steam error or some other random thing, so sadly I can't provide any fixes or workarounds for others.

You could host a public game on steam and protect it with a password. That's how I usually play with my brother
