Hi!
So yesterday i downloaded 0.18.36 to test some factories with the infinity mod. I couldn't do it under 0.17.79 because the infinity mod needed 0.18. After i finished making the new blueprint book i went back to 0.17.79. But after loading the game i got 2 errors about loading my blueprint library ( see attached pictures) and all my blueprints are gone. It says that the cloud sync failed and the local ones are loaded but nothing gets loaded. Could use some help please!
Best regards
Marc

Re: Lost Blueprint Library [0.17.79]
Your report does not describe any issues. If you go back with base version, blueprint library will be unable to be loaded, same as it is not possible to load saves made in newer version: game simply do not know how to load such version because there could be new data introduced. In the directory where Factorio keeps settings, most likely there was a blueprint storage backup made with a suffix "0.17" which you can use to manually restore blueprint storage to previous version.

Re: Lost Blueprint Library [0.17.79]
Hey! Thanks for the answer. Losing my entire library of blueprints that i build in almost 500h of play is not an issue? That i don't understand. I did not make any changes in my old blueprints i just made 1 new one. So why would the game not load my old prints as usual? Not being able to load the new one i would understand which btw loads without a problem. The comment about the save game makes total sense to me. Where do i find that backup? If i find the file how do i restore it manually? How can i save my blueprints manually so that this never happens again? How could i use steam cloud to retrieve my blueprints?

Hello, in the same folder blueprint-storage-backup.dat was created (your second screenshot), there should be also blueprint-storage-version-0.17-backup.dat
Before you start restoring it, backup these files somewhere else, in case something goes wrong.
- Close the game if you have it running
- Delete your now empty storage - blueprint-storage.dat
- Make a copy of blueprint-storage-version-0.17-backup.dat and rename it to blueprint-storage.dat
- Launch the game to the main menu, go to Settings -> Other, disable blueprint library cloud sync and confirm.
- Then you can reenable it again (but please be advised Steam Cloud is good for sharing game data over multiple computers, not so much for data backups)
