I have two computers on a LAN. They can see each other and connect in any other game that I've tried (usually by direct local IP) and they can see each other in Windows to transfer files between each other.
I downloaded the zip-file of Factorio experimental 17.1 directly from the website and extracted it on both computers to play multiplayer.
However, when either hosts a LAN game in Factorio, neither can see the other in the play in LAN game, and neither can connect to the other by typing in the local IP (192.168.2.14/15).
Does anyone have any idea what's wrong?

Re: [17.1] Unable to find computer on LAN
It could be a firewall problem. Try hosting/joining without any firewall. If ok, allow Factorio in your firewall

Huh, that seems to have fixed it! Thanks. It seems the firewall was checked for "private" but not "public". I checked both boxes and now we can connect.
