Game Crashing During Initial Loading

I tried to play Factorio with a few friends today and when I would launch the game through steam it would crash halfway through the initial load screen. I tried reinstalling the game and validating the file integrity of the game. I am not sure what else I could do to fix this issue

What is the exact error/crash message?

Have you tried running the standalone version instead of the steam version?

Have you tried downgrading or upgrading your GPU drivers?


It looks like, from your log, a crash is occurring while loading shaders, which leads me to believe it could be driver related.

Hello, try to reinstall Razer Synapse, or update to 0.16.x experimental (open Factorio properties in Steam Library, navigate to Betas tab and select "0.16.x" from drop down box)
