Heya, getting this error trying to start up my headless server on the latest (16.12 as of this writing):
Error GlobalContext.cpp:1014: /opt/factorio/data/server-settings.json: Bad file format; ignoring
I've put the json through a validator and it's checking out, I think it's just missing a default that wasn't included in the "example" file.
my current json file works fine with 15.40-ish
and the included example file does not work if no changes are made.
any idea what's up?

Re: [16.12] server-settings.json reporting Bad file format
If anyone running headless linux 16.12+ can share a credential-sanitized settings JSON I'd be greatly appreciative.

Bah. A few of the "headless server setup tutorials" list using -c instead of --server-settings. This thread tipped me off: viewtopic.php?f=49&t=52673&p=308067&hil ... on#p308067
