Multiplayer starts out fine, then slowly degrades until poof
My 2 friends and I are on a MP map, hosted by 1 of the friends, nearby. We had been playing it for about a week or so with no problems. Then, Thursday, about 5 days of playing this map, it starts lagging. It lags so much that it eventually disconnects me. My friends are not disconnected, so they stay in the world. I reconnect and get about 5 minutes of solid play before this repeats itself. Again, I'm the only one booted and they're fine.
Friday, we make a new map, thinking that maybe the old one is too big. (Side note, we install RSO!) The behavior repeats. I get about 5 to 10 minutes of solid play and then poof, lagged out and disconnected. I'm getting pretty fed up at this point, so I decide to see if I can get some more behavior information. I log in, get 5 minutes of play and the lag begins. I immediately disconnect and my friends tell me that the lag disappears when I do.
Another side note: When Factorio is lagging, so is TeamSpeak. TS lags a bit but the moment Factorio disconnects, TS is fine again.
This makes me think it's a connection issue, somehow Factorio doesn't like my computer-wireless NIC-router-modem-internet connection.
I can play fine on my SP map. Factorio runs fine on my computer.
Can y'all help?

Here you go.
We had accidentally set the latency to 100 in some disconnects. So, we set it to the default 250 and got good results all day. This evening, it died.

Happened again last night. It worked for about an hour, then lag, and poof. Interestingly, the rest of the house was unaffected. Just this computer. Couldn't get anything on this computer to work. Is there some way for Factorio to choke a single computer?

Hi, I don't know if it can or can't be related, but @mooklepticon :
Isn't a Nvidia Ion a little weak to run Factorio ? The thing is that the server runs at the speed of its slowest player. If one machine can't handle the game, it will get slow for all.
Code: Select all
0.019 [0]: \\.\DISPLAY1 - NVIDIA ION {0x05, [0,0], 1400x1050, 32bit, 60Hz}

Nah, runs fine on SP. Also, the MP runs fine for a period of time and then stutters for about 15s, then hangs for 30s, then kicks me. The "running fine" period can be anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour and a half.Koub wrote:Hi, I don't know if it can or can't be related, but @mooklepticon :

Well I'll let the devs answer then, I have never been even close to understanding how to read these logs past the first lines XD

It should also be noted that the headless server is running on my machine. See the attachment for specs.
