mods and new versions

Just curious about a couple things. Have .12.17 and have 20 mods total, and only 9 of them work with this version. Does this seem about normal? i.e. FARL does not work, trainstats and robostats do, FAT controller does not, larger inventory does, logistics network(by xterminator) does not, etc. Am I missing command line instructions or ?? Again, just curious, thanks in advance. I just see a lot of you tube videos and they have later versions yet most of these same mods, they are using but I can't get to work. Have a GREAT Thanksgiving (USA)!

0.12.11 broke most mods, your mods must be updated to work with it.

Some of those mods already updated to a working version. Maybe you are missing a few updates on them. This will be solved with a mod repository in 0.14, hopefully.
