[1.1.80] Increasing crafting speed of an assembler does not wake sleeping inserters

We are aware of them, but they have low priority. We have more important things to do. They go here in order not to take space in the main bug thread list.

[1.1.80] Increasing crafting speed of an assembler does not wake sleeping inserters

Post by aaargha »

Found that inserters are not woken up when the output limit of an assembler changes due to the crafting speed increasing.

This (or very similar) has already been reported here and marked as resolved, but the issue seems to exist in 1.1.80

Use the blueprint below to reproduce, it should craft iron gears until full (inserter sleeps at 4). Adding the four speed-3 modules should make the machine craft more until the new limit of 10, but nothing happens.

Thanks for the report. That original issue was reverted due to a desync it caused. Currently that is simply an unfortunate interaction with module effects and crafting machines. Realistically it doesn't matter because nothing is removing those items so crafting more right then isn't important. As soon as anything removes the output inventory contents it will resume work with the new overload value(s).
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.
