[2.0.14] In game updater from Space Age DLC can't find (experimental) updates

I made a side comment about this behavior in the forum post for the release notes of version 2.0.14 and moderator @vinzenz asked me to create a topic here.

I've updated Factorio per in game updater from 1.1.110 to 2.0.8, then to 2.0.9 and 2.0.10. Then I purchased, downloaded and installed the Space Age – DLC, which updated the game to 2.0.11.

But as the title states, the in game updater from the Space Age DLC doesn't find any updates. Every time I check manually for updates per [About] → [Check for updates] it says “No new updates available”. But the website states, that I can download the stable version 2.0.15 or the experimental version 2.0.16.

My workaround is to download the latest installer from gog.com and install Factorio SA over the existing installation. But that is a bit annoying, so I run a few tests, and now I can state the following:

• Version 1.1.110 detects Version 2.0.15 and experimental version 2.0.16

• Version 2.0.14 detects Version 2.0.15 and experimental version 2.0.16

• Version 2.0.11 SA doesn't detect Version 2.0.15 nor experimental version 2.0.16
• Version 2.0.14 SA doesn't detect Version 2.0.15 nor experimental version 2.0.16

• Enable experimental updates is set to true
• In game, I'm logged in
• I used the installer from gog.com
  My PC
• OS: Arch Linux
• CPU: Intel i5-6500
• GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 — 6 GB
• Memory: 16 GB
