Hello,
What did you do?
I tried to place a crude oil node using the cursor in Map Editor interface, with the yield set to 800.
What happened?
The place crude oil is 0%. I kept holding the left-click and holding and still the yield increase is extremely slow.
Note: The right-click to decrease is fast, left-click to increase is slow
I also tried the spray with yield set to 8000. When the spray size is set to 1 or 2 the same behaviour as above happens.
What did you expect to happen instead? It might be obvious to you, but do it anyway!
The hold mouse click to increase yield should be as fast as decrease or at least fast enough. At this rate I was able to get to 5% with almost 5 clicks per 1%and to 20% in spray mode after holding it for 20 seconds.
Does it happen always, once, or sometimes?
Always

Re: Map Editor Cursor Resource Placement too slow yield [2.0.11]
Thanks for the report, I find simply clicking the resource and setting the exact values you want to be much better than the spray option. The spray option exists from way way way back in early Factorio and kind of isn’t useful.
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.
Re: Map Editor Cursor Resource Placement too slow yield [2.0.11]
Thanks for the tip! I didn't know that we could click on the node in None mode to bring the dialog about the exact amount. This is very useful.
