[0.11.17] Random Repeating Crash

Searched the forum and couldn't find anything similar, so my apologies if I have missed a topic concerning this.

It has happened over a dozen times now on different save files/maps, the game does not appear to be auto-saving at the time and although it has happened whilst I was repairing a couple of times, it wasn't when I hit "Q" or anything like that. I have purposely recreated only once, but then not a second time. Restarted several games to try to avoid it, but to no avail, however it only seems to happen when I get to the mid(ish)-stage of the game, when I start dealing with alien science.

EDIT= Thought I should add; Win8.0, only started happening in the .17 update. Never crashed before, with the exception of the "Q" crash.
